A WINDOW IN TIME
by
Janis M. Robertson.
Miranda's habit of borrowing things without thought for the consequences
- ensure that her name is spelled DISASTER. However, Old Father Tyme himself
chooses her to stand in for him while he has a well-earned holiday.
'Nothing can go wrong,' Tyme assures Miranda. 'Everything works like
clockwork.' But what happens when the works atart to fall apart, and the
apprentice doesn't have any idea how to put them together again? Miranda finds
herself hurtling from catastrophe to cataclysm, with often hilarious (if
potentially ghastly!) results.
In her task, Miranda is aided and abetted by Bryn a very hair-raising
character. His
help
is often the catalyst for even more eventful happenings that send Miranda
hurtling towards the inevitable destruction of the entire universe
..
Oh dear. In entrusting the fabric of time to the dizzy Miranda and her
not-so-helpful cohorts, what has Tyme done?
