We are in London in the 1960's and Angelo, a dashing Italian, admired by men and women alike, has just arrived in this country to work in his uncle's restaurant. He settles down quickly and works hard but his uncle senses that something is missing and wonders if Angelo wouldn't be happier in his native Italy. Then the mysterious "lady from London" appears and everything changes.
This is a story about the love between two people and the journey of self-discovery which places both of their lives in danger. It juxtaposes the flimsy sensationalist values of a society in transition with the eternal verities arising out of the human heart and steers our hero towards a final epiphany and act of humility and forgiveness.
Once again, Steve Emanuelle's triumph as storyteller is surpassed only by his skill in reminding us of what is important in life.
