'The Side of the Road'
Imagine the side of a road, there is a person there. Is that person male or
female? Short? Tall? Thin? Fat? Is he/she looking towards the road or away
from it? Perhaps he/she is lying down, injured or dead.
Perhaps he/she is looking at the number on a house, a piece of paper as a
reference or maybe at something in the gutter or a car travelling along the
road.
Is the person carrying anything? A torch maybe, or perhaps it's daylight.
It's up to you to decide.
What is the weather like? Is it raining? Snowing? Sunny?
What we want this month is a short story of around 2000 words which must start
at that roadside. Poets may write a poem of no more than 40 lines in any style
but it must feature a road. Article writers can write an article on a road,
possibly one they know and describe an incident on that road.
