Choose a Character
Skip the Workshop take me straight to the submissions Do you watch television? Silly question, though I do know of a few well motivated people who don't. This month's workshop is based on a television programme or rather a particular actor/actress in one. All actors cleverly portray a certain type character and very often by slightly changing mannerisms or sometimes only a name, can keep that character going in a wide variety of plays. Penelope Keith is just one example. What we want from you is to think of one character on television or film and write a story or poem around that 'person'. You don't have to use the name, though we do ask that at the bottom of your work you state who the inspiration is, in this way we can have fun trying to guess who you have used. Article writers are to write about the way an actor portrays a character by mannerisms, speech, timing etc.
