The Chain

How many different meanings can you think of for a chain? Sequence, series, succession, train, bind, shackle, link, the list goes on This workshop is for you to think of just one and use that for your submission. It may be of a prisoner chained, awaiting a chance to escape; an elderly person receiving a frightening chain letter or even a schoolboy's chain of thoughts. It's up to you.
Short stories 2500 words or less
Poetry 40 lines or less.
Articles up to 1500 words
