Workshop 33 The Charity Shop Have a look in a charity shop at a complete set of clothes. It could be a suit, a pair of corded trousers and Tweed jacket, an old dress with big flowers or very formal dark skirt with a buttoned jacket to match. Then choose a pair of shoes, Wellies, brogues, stileto's, sandals or even trainers. Now imagine a character that would wear those clothes or why he or she would be wearing them, and set him/her in a very public place; a football match, a public house or library for example and write a short story about him/her. Article writers: Visit a charity shop, speak to the shop staff and write an article on the types of goods they receive, unusual goods and what regular customers or providers of goods they have. Poets; Write a poem for children using the character and scene that you have imagined.
Short stories 2500 words or less
Poetry 40 lines or less. Can you do it poetically?
