Where You Live
Skip the Workshop take me straight to the submissions
We regularly get people sending in their creative writing, not just for display but also purely for somebody else to see their work. This workshop comes from such a piece and was written by Scott who lives just East of Los Angeles in a canyon community of Lytle Creek. So what do we want you to do? We want a similar and original piece of work which gives a feeling of where you live and to help get the idea buds working, we've got Scott's permission to display his work with our workshop. It's a fine Thursday evening; the boys are just finishing a refreshment at Bob's house. It's time for dinner. It's Taco Thursday. We head up the trail to the "Taco" gate at Bob's, careful to not step on the dog crap that my Chico left near the trail earlier. I wonder why he left it there? Do the wheels turn in that little pointed head and he thinks of ways to get back at us for not bringing him? Well, it's a fine evening to enjoy Lytle Creek, especially after the tension of a bit of rain. The fragrance of two stroke exhaust in the air and the echo of a nice sounding chainsaw flavors the evening. The boys show up at the fine dining establishment with the waitress bringing more refreshments. Then the taco's come, the guacamole and hot sauce are flowing as one of the local men and his kids chase their dog through the restaurant! It doesn't get any better. The taco's finished finds us eating chocolate ice cream, compliments of the establishment for putting up with the dog. Before we walk home I head to the bathroom to take care of business, as I'm finishing up someone else is trying to come in. So I unlock the door and let one of the local homeless guys in….With his Husquavarna chainsaw! I didn't think it was that big!!
Three taco's $2.39
Have a fine day Scott
