The Bird
Imagine a bird, it could be a blackbird, an eagle, a sparrow or even a chicken or a budgie in a cage. If fantasy is your special talent then maybe a phoenix
What's it doing at the moment? Perhaps it's just sitting looking, or chasing a marauder from it's nest site or maybe soaring above some special scene below.
What is the weather like?
Are there people around, if so who are they and what are they doing?
Yes you've guessed it, this month's workshop must strongly feature a bird or birds, though it doesn't matter what else you include. In fact your central character could even be next door's cat.
There is just one other thing, we need a strong description of a smell somewhere in you submission.

Short stories 2500 words or less
Poetry 40 lines or less.
Articles up to 1500 words
All you have to do now is put your pen to paper and e-mail your submissions to
us. to at our writing group submissions address and we don't mind if you
attempt both prose or poetry.
